The Garbrecht Law Library at the University of Maine School of Law is part of the PACER: Access and Education Program.   The Library partnership helps provide access to Federal Court Records to the public. • Pacer is a pay per search system.  Anyone may register to join Pacer and will receive a quarterly bill.
• The Garbrecht Law Library receives limited funding through the Pacer Education and Access Program
• "PACER charges $0.10 per page retrieved. This applies to both the pages of search results and the pages of documents you retrieve.
  The charge for any single document is capped at $3.00, the equivalent of 30 pages. The cap does not apply to name searches, reports that are not case-specific, and transcripts of federal court proceedings.
  If you accrue a total of less than $15.00 worth of charges in any given quarter, fees are waived for that quarter."

• All materials are related to Federal Cases.  PACER is a service of the Federal Court.

• Exhibits
• Orders

• Pacer does not contain state material.
• Pacer coverage varies by district and circuit court.
• Pacer is the public access to court records.  It is not the Case Management/Court Electronic Records.
