The Westin Portland Harborview, previously known as The Eastland Park Hotel, opened it's doors in 1927 as the largest hotel in New England. From famous dignitaries to rock 'n roll celebrities, the Westin Portland Harborview has been a favorite location for all who travel to Portland. In March, 2011 the hotel was purchased and an 18-month, $50 million endeavor to revitalize the landmark began. The restoration effort included modernizing 80-year-old systems, and designing contemporary accommodations while maintaining the hotel’s historic appeal by retaining the original façade and rooftop great sign, as well as pillar cornices in the lobby, the ballroom’s grand staircase, and much more. In 2014 the Westin Portland Harborview was officially recognized as a historic hotel when it joined Historic Hotels of America.
The Fall 2016 LLNE Meeting will be held at the Westin Portland Harborview Hotel. It is easily accessible by car or from the Portland Transportation Center (Amtrak/Concord Coach Line) or from the Portland International Airport.
I was going to make my own list of great places to eat in Portland but there are SOOOOOOO many. Trip Advisor has put together a great list of their own. You can't go wrong with any of these places! Enjoy!!
